Great Grandma Rosa was our Country Mama, born in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She tended to the farm, plucked feathers for pillows and sewed dresses from feed sacks – making sure each had an extra pocket for her pistol. Like her, this Carolina vinegar sauce is traditional, sweet and fiery.
